Bon à savoir
The Iris Dahabiya carries between 15 and 20 guests across 21 cabins and suites. That number keeps the boat quiet, the service personal, and the sun deck uncrowded.
Ten Deluxe Cabins at 20 square metres with panoramic sliding windows. One Single Deluxe Cabin at 17 square metres. Six Panoramic Suites with private terraces at 26 square metres. Two Royal Suites with verandas at 40 square metres. Two Junior Suites on the upper deck and two on the main deck, each at 29 square metres. Every cabin has a private jacuzzi bath and air conditioning.
Guests can swim in the Nile, join cooking sessions, go kayaking, practise yoga, or use the onboard gym. The sun deck has a heated jacuzzi and a winter-heated pool. Indoor and outdoor lounges, board games, and daily tea time on deck fill the quieter hours.
The Iris is a 55-metre traditional sailboat powered solely by wind, with an accompanying motorboat when the wind is calm. It carries far fewer guests than a standard cruise ship, offers private jacuzzi baths in every cabin, and sails at a slower, more intimate pace between Aswan and Luxor.
Two main routes are available. A 4-day / 3-night cruise from Aswan to Luxor departing every Friday. A 5-day / 4-night cruise from Luxor to Aswan departing every Monday. Both include guided visits to Philae, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Karnak, and Luxor Temple.
