The Great Pyramid: Built around 2570 BC as the eternal resting place of King Khufu, the Great Pyramid held the title of the tallest structure on Earth for nearly 3,800 years, reaching a height of 147 meters. Designed by Khufu's vizier Hemiunu, it houses the Grand Hall, the Queen's Chamber, and the King's Chamber.
The Great Sphinx: Among the oldest and most iconic monumental statues ever created, the Great Sphinx combines the face of King Khafre (2558–2532 BC) with the body of a lion, carved entirely from limestone. Between its paws lies the Dream Stele of Pharaoh Thutmose IV, dating back to around 1401–1391 BC.
The Valley Temple: One of the best-preserved structures from the Old Kingdom, the Valley Temple served as the site where royal family members of the 4th dynasty underwent the mummification and purification rituals known as the Opening of the Mouth ceremony.
The Grand Egyptian Museum: Spanning 490,000 square meters, the Grand Egyptian Museum showcases over 5,000 years of Egyptian art, spirituality, and innovation. As one of the largest conservation and research centers in the Middle East, it is home to remarkable pieces such as the Hanging Obelisk, an 11-meter statue of Ramses II, and the complete Tutankhamun collection of more than 5,000 artifacts.

Start your morning with a satisfying breakfast, then set out with your Egyptologist guide to discover Luxor's most remarkable attractions, beginning with:
Valley of the Kings: Hidden within the Theban Necropolis, the Valley of the Kings holds 63 rock-cut tombs belonging to the pharaohs and nobles of the New Kingdom (1570–1050 BC). These tombs showcase some of the finest examples of ancient Egyptian artistry, offering insight into the era's history, mythology, and religious traditions.
Hatshepsut Temple: Carved into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, Hatshepsut Temple stands as a mortuary monument to Queen Hatshepsut (1473–1458 BC), one of ancient Egypt's most powerful female rulers. The temple was built in honor of the god Amun and remains celebrated for its striking terraced design.
Colossi of Memnon: Standing 18 meters tall, the Colossi of Memnon depict Pharaoh Amenhotep III and date back to around 1350 BC. Originally built to honor his reign and legacy, the statues later gained additional significance during the Greco-Roman period (20–250 AD), when they became associated with the mythological Greek king Memnon.
Lunch Time: Take a break to enjoy lunch before continuing your exploration of Luxor.
Karnak Temple: As Egypt's second most visited site, the Karnak Temple Complex was once the religious heart of ancient Thebes. Built over nearly 2,000 years, from the Middle Kingdom (1971 BC) through the Ptolemaic era (30 BC), it features remarkable structures including the Precinct of Mut, the Precinct of Montu, the Precinct of Amun-Re, the Avenue of Sphinxes, and the Great Hypostyle Hall.
