Regarded as one of humanity's greatest archaeological achievements, the Giza Pyramids Complex dates back more than 4,500 years to Egypt's Old Kingdom around 2600 BC.
Built as the eternal resting place of King Khufu around 2570 BC, the Great Pyramid held the title of the tallest structure in the world from 2600 BC until 1311 AD, standing at 146.6 meters. Designed by his vizier Hemiunu, it houses the Queen's Chamber, the Grand Hall, and the King's Chamber.
Known as Horus of the Horizon, the Great Sphinx dates back to the reign of King Khafre (2558–2532 BC) and bears his face. Between its paws lies the Dream Stele of Pharaoh Thutmose IV (1397–1388 BC), a source of countless legends and stories over the centuries.
This remarkably preserved sacred site was used by King Khafre for purification rituals and the Opening of the Mouth ceremony, an essential part of the ancient mummification process.
Spanning nearly 490,000 square meters near the Giza Pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum blends cutting-edge design with 5,000 years of Egyptian history. As one of the largest conservation centers in the Middle East, it houses remarkable treasures such as the Hanging Obelisk, an 11-meter statue of Ramses II, and the complete Tutankhamun collection of more than 5,000 artifacts.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo before continuing to your next stop.
Home to one of the most remarkable collections of ancient Egyptian artifacts in the world, the Egyptian Museum showcases over 4,500 years of history and cultural heritage.
You'll then be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor, where you'll join your guide and check in to your 5-star hotel for the night.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then continue your journey with a private tour of Luxor, often called the World's Greatest Open-Air Museum, visiting:
Set within the Theban Necropolis, the Valley of the Kings holds 63 tombs belonging to powerful nobles, kings, and queens of the New Kingdom (1570–1050 BC). This underground network of tombs offers extraordinary insight into the religious beliefs and funerary traditions of ancient Egypt.
Widely regarded as one of the finest examples of ancient Egyptian architecture, Hatshepsut Temple, known as the Holy of Holies, was built during her reign (1479–1458 BC) to honor the god Amun and commemorate her remarkable legacy as one of Egypt's most powerful female pharaohs.
These two massive quartzite statues, built in 1350 BC for Pharaoh Amenhotep III, stand 18 meters tall and are covered in inscriptions detailing his reign and family. They also became linked to the legendary Greek king Memnon during the Greco-Roman period.
Enjoy lunch on an island as part of a scenic boat trip along the Nile before continuing your tour.
Built over nearly 2,000 years, from 1971 BC to 30 AD, Karnak Temple served as the spiritual heart of ancient Thebes and was dedicated to the Theban Triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Its Hypostyle Hall and Avenue of Sphinxes remain some of the most extraordinary architectural achievements in ancient Egyptian history.
